Chronic wound & diabetic foot care

Chronic wound assessment and care, healing follow-up, and diabetic foot care to reduce complications.

Some wounds do not heal in the expected time, especially in people with diabetes or poor circulation, and every week of delay can raise the risk of complications.

At Mazoon we assess the wound and the reasons it is slow to heal, then set a regular care and follow-up plan, with particular attention to the diabetic foot and preventing wounds there.

Conditions we assess

  • Chronic wound assessment and care
  • Step-by-step healing follow-up
  • Diabetic foot care
  • Pressure ulcers and slow-healing wounds
  • Post-surgical wounds
  • Daily foot-care guidance

When should you see a doctor?

  • A wound that has not healed within two weeks
  • Redness, swelling or discharge around a wound
  • Any wound or crack on a diabetic foot, however small
  • Skin colour change, increasing pain or odour

In an emergency, go to the nearest emergency department immediately.

Questions about this service

High blood sugar can weaken circulation and sensation in the foot and affect skin defences, so diabetic foot wounds need early, regular follow-up.

Your doctor sets the number of visits by the wound’s size and condition; follow-up is usually regular until healing is complete.

Check your feet daily, keep them clean and dry, wear comfortable shoes, and see us at the first sign of a wound or colour change.
