Our services

Neck, back & spine

Assessment of neck and lower-back pain, sciatica and vertebral symptoms.

Neck and back pain are among the most common complaints, ranging from muscle strain that settles within days to conditions that need a careful look at the vertebrae and nerves.

At Mazoon we tell these apart by listening and examining movement and nerve function, and we request imaging only when it adds something useful to the diagnosis.

Conditions we assess

  • Acute and chronic lower-back pain
  • Disc herniation and sciatica
  • Neck pain and stiffness
  • Limb numbness or tingling linked to the spine
  • Age-related spinal changes
  • Back pain from work and long sitting

When should you see a doctor?

  • Pain spreading to a leg or arm with numbness or weakness
  • Pain lasting over six weeks despite rest
  • Pain after a fall or accident
  • Increasing leg weakness or loss of bladder control (go to emergency immediately)

In an emergency, go to the nearest emergency department immediately.

Questions about this service

No. Most back pain is diagnosed clinically; MRI is requested in specific cases such as nerve weakness or persistent symptoms.

Current guidance suggests staying as active as pain allows is usually better than long rest; your doctor will advise what suits you.

Long sitting in an awkward posture strains muscles and ligaments; short movement breaks and a better workstation help.
